The owning of a camera in 1952 was something of a rarity especially one that could discernable photograph's of more than 20 metres away, therefore a different class of people as were the press photographers then, there was no mad scramble to take the photo in a million and retire on it with instant transmission. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I’ve no problems with it . Respect is shown to people whilst they are living . Once they’re gone , they’re gone , you can’t offend them by taking a photo . The Queens death is a seismic event that won’t ever be seen in this country again . If people want their own personal record so be it . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

What I don't get, is in this day and age, when anyone can record an event on TV by Sky, BT, etc; why do spectators see the need to record the event on their own personal camera? Surely, they could set up "record" on their home device and see a professional recording of the very same event later and forever?!

BUT, if I'm not mistaken, you can only keep it as long as you keep the box and subscription running for the relavent box. If there is a way of removing it from the box so you can have a permanent copy I'd be interested to know it. I've lost a few things in the past when the box has been 'upgraded'! |

Any box connected to a TV can be recorded, you just need the right leads and Utube where there are instructions for most things, most TV's have

I can understand people wanting their own record of the sad day.

Andy131, I can fully appreciate your situation. However, I would say that a large number of those that recorded any part of the Queen’s coffin being moved went away and said “look what I’ve got on my phone” |
