It actually has both! Timing belt from crankshaft to camshaft but then a chain takes the drive from one camshaft to the 2nd camshaft. The chain is not normally a service item but the timing belt is! |

Cam belt from crank to one camshaft is a service item. The chain that links the two camshafts isn’t. |

That's correct, the belt should be ½ way through its second change now. Its a 7 year change interval after 2012 IIRC. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
