United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Firenze Red

I never thought pressuring a SU carb with a turbo was a great idea.
The naturally aspirated MG Metro (which I had) regularly needed tuning, but the MG Metro Turbo was a sod to keep in tune by all accounts.

The move to injection and electronic management solved those issues. Jules

I think that the early SU carburetor turbo systems were a little before their time.

Even after enclosing or sealing off the damper, there were too many variables for the physical, analogue system to handle, and as Jules says SU/Stromberg carbs needed constant attention. Later Fuel Injection and Computer Control allowed easier(?) control of mixture etc.

PS I know this is off topic, but it is the wider knowledge of members that makes this forum interesting. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Some people don't deserve help.
I can't stand it when someone doesn't get the answer they want in a couple of days, then demand to have their account deactivated.
It's almost like it's a right to have all questions answered accurately and immediately.
I haven't go the time of day for those sorts of morons.
Hopefully he won't solve his issue. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Nodge, he sounds like the type of guy who'll slag off the Freelander 2 and Land Rovers in general as being unreliable pieces of s41t because he's an impatient a55hole.

So many people with problems seem to forget that we aren’t a help desk and just a community of owners who have experience that we are willing to pass on. This new users problem was one that no one currently around had met before so could have added to the community knowledge base but that opportunity has been lost now.

I did a review on a new vacuum, years later on the vacuum I chucked out someone in a completely different timezone basically demanded an answer instantly. I happened to be awake & said borrow a vacuum from your neighbour.

I have no idea which forums the OP is on, but one would be hard pressed to find a forum with the depth of knowledge of this one, & polite.
