Do you do any real off-road driving or just normal tarmaced and hard surface driving? Regards

Hi Boxbrownie - i don’t do real off-road driving, mostly tarmac roads and some light country gravel roads or in fields. The Grabbers At3 have a good rugged look but driving wise, I have nothing to compare them to. Thanks for the help! |

Michelin Cross Climate will get the best out of the car in rain and winter , and will be fine for 1O% of your driving off road on tracks , but not plough or mud . Same with Bridgestone A005 weather control . Both are excellent road tyres . I’ve used them myself .

TBH for what your driving seems to be I’d go with Michelin/Pirelli/Goodyear road biased SUV tyre. Regards

Running Cross Climates on mine, tarmac roads and London potholes, wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again, although must agree that the ‘look’ of the chunkier General Grabber are more what you’d perhaps expect a 4x4 to be wearing. Ran CCs on my Subaru Forester for years prior to selling it. Decent mileage out of them. |

Thanks, indeed the choice seems to be logical to go more towards road biased tyres - I'll probably make the call between the Michelin Cross Climates or renew the Grabber AT3 for their "look" - The AT3 have been a good tarmac tyre until the rears deformed and creating a loud humming noise. |

The AT3 is a 50/50 road/off-road - it will be noisier, less fuel efficient and have less grip on wet tarmac than a more road bias tyre. But the differences are small. The biggest difference is fuel efficiency as they have an E rating.

I fitted those to my i6……they were excellent tyres, nice and quiet like a normal road bias tyre but with a tread which could deal with a bit of the slippery brown stuff as well, marked as a M+S tyre.
