Nothing too difficult to fix. Since it is apparently so dirty, pull it apart & clean it properly.

I plan on cleaning it tomorrow. Just wrapping my head around everything with the cars at the moment as I am working on a Polo, BMW 1 Series and the Freelander 2.

An endless list of car related jobs to get done, sounds familiar. 🤔 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

This is as far as I got today thanks to all the other stuff going on. Cleans up really well. Discovered today that it is Sumatra Black. Accidentally took a little paint off of the front bumper with the pressure washer So tomorrow I will be calling my paint supplier and asking for a couple of cans for it. Needs quite a few jobs doing though...

The Freelander broke down a few weeks ago, blocking a lane on a busy dual carriage way and nearly ended up being hit, I thought it was going to be catastrophic, but turned out that it was just the crank sensor So I went picked the beast up today from my mates and finally get to use it as a daily, I gave it a bath on the way home too. It still needs the noisy turb o to be changed but that will have to wait a couple of weeks.

Been using this beast as my daily for 2 days and it now appears to be leaking diesel from what I believe may be the injector seals So, parked it up and taking the truck instead tomorrow. Hope that doesn't break down as the thrust bearing is on its last legs in that

The truck ended up being unusable as it needs a gearbox, so went back to using this for now, Today the HST kit on the front was fitted, door control module and wind deflectors all fitted. I absolutely love how it looks now apart from the wheels.

Been a while since I posted, but it went to a mobile mechanic as the rear brakes packed up and the turbo needed to be replaced, Around 8 weeks passed with promises of the car being repaired for me, and in that time, I quit as manager of a garage and merged my existing business with another business and have been dealing with all of that, I got really angry at it just sitting at the side of the road by this guys house, so told him to pack the parts into the car and leave the key in a safe place, and I went and got it, someone has scraped the rear corner and hit the towbar, someone has scraped the front corner and also damaged the replacement mirror I fitted on the passenger side, and the battery was flat, it took 2 jump packs at the same time to get it started. Now it is back home, had a deep external wash at my new yard and is in daily use as it is. Tonight I plan on replacing the rear brakes, then once it is low on fuel, I will take it to the yard and start stripping the engine down to change the Turbo and will use another Green Oval until this one is fixed. I also bought myself another little project trailer, I was told the wood was rotten, but didn't realise it would fall apart on the way to the yard

Rear brakes now done, passenger rear calliper was totally knackered, I bought both rear so the rear had new discs, pads and callipers, regretting not doing the shoes at the same time now, but the car is now safe to drive again, which is great as I have over 100 miles to cover tomorrow.

A little upgrade in the works. It was cheaper to buy the facelift handle from PowerfulUK than it was to get a standard handle, I wasn't convinced of this upgrade until the price pushed me into it, just a little touching up to do before I start the process of drilling holes in the tailgate, but hoping to get this fitted tomorrow.
