Hi all
My i6 came up with its amber engine warning light earlier, no loss of power or performance etc, drove for about 3 miles and parked up, just been out and turned it on and the lights gone off, I have booked it in at my local specialist for Thursday to pop on diagnostic (earliest I could do with work etc). Should I keep that appointment as it's now gone off?
Also I have a faulty fuel gauge (as common with the fl2) I intend to get it fixed next time it's in for service as it usually only drops off once in a blue moon however this week I have been running less than quarter of a tank and the fuel guage has been dropping off constantly (every 30 seconds or so) could this have anything to do with the amber warning light?

In my experience, the low fuel reading wiring fault, caused the engine to go into protect mode, when fuel gauge indicated very low fuel.

I think it reduces performance in an effort to reduce the risk of damage to the fuel pump, etc.

Well, at minimum get any (pending) codes read. The check engine light could be for many reasons.
