Auxiliary tensioner

Hi new here just fitted a new auxiliary tensioner
But new one has a rubber bung by spring do yo leave this or leave alone thanks

Hi thanks for response new one fitted awkward to take pic but have got pics of old one as you can see we’re spring sits there ie is a rubber insert in new one but not old and searching can’t see any
