Had a chat but difficult to diagnose over phone. Needs to see car. I’ll see how it goes. It only happens when cold and on full lock backwards and quick acceleration. Local lr Indy will have a quick look on Wednesday, but the usual modus operandi there is put new things on , rather than fix the old things. He said it sounds like It’s on its way out ! It’s been serviced by them before but don’t see how my other garage (non lr) can wreck it. I saw pictures of the screen and it wasn’t bad and he assured me he had used Haldex oil in it. He’s serviced quite a few over the years. |

Trip to Austen it is then. Hopefully can get there . Local lr Indy says removing the fuse won’t do anything as the fault is mechanical ?? |

If removing the fuse doesnt change anything (ie fault goes away) then he may well be correct. Jules |

[quote="Bobupndown"]I had the same symptoms recently and serviced my haldex to find haldex oil level was very low. Cleaned pump screen, new filter and new oil. All good again. I'll check level of haldex oil in future in case it is leaking but never see any sign of an oil leak below it.[/quot

“Can you tell me if it is possible to add more fluid to the Haldex without removing the unit from the vehicle?”

That's the only way, unless you're taking the diff out at the same time. The front of the diff casing is also the rear half of the Haldex casing, so the two units need to be bolted together, or the Haldex oil fall on the floor. ![]() 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4.
