For that price, I'm tempted to machine up my own in aluminium, maybe filled with silicone fluid as the damping medium. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

A little update. Mine has a completely undamaged damper. Very Happy

It just wasn't clipped into the glove box lid, so was hanging down the back, probably causing the rattling sound I've been hearing in the glove box area, which I've been unable to identify.
I'll find out tomorrow on the way to work Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Thats a great find.
But are you sure its undamaged? The tube cap is not connected to the tube. The spring should be inside the tube.
On mine the cap wouldn't stay connected to the tube. I had to "weld" it together with a glue gun. Jules

Yes. I spotted that one before I installed it. What a stupid design it is too.
The cap did clip back in, so hopefully it'll stay in place with use.
If not, then I've got a complete template, which I can copy to machine up a stronger replacement. Thumbs Up Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
