England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Zermatt Silver
Aluminium dash plates

My 2009 XS has aluminium fascia strips around the gear lever, and along the glove box etc. but not up each side of the radio and heater controls. I have read elsewhere in the forum about the Fascia kit being different to the factory fit items plus I don't want to pay for a whole kit when I just need those two strips (I think).
Help please Ralph

i think your referring to the Centre Console Comfort Kit

I am not sure what finish these come in, TBH i have never seen one fitted, but if these can be bought separately, i am sure either Duckworths or Nick @ Yeovil landrover dept parts could source them for you, just mention the forum for your discounts:thumbsup:

For accessory fitting instructions have a look through the following site and select FL2 and then accessory fitting Thumbs Up

Yes, i think you are right. It is a pity they do not supply the side embellishers to complement the existing aluminium finish. Ralph

I have a 002463 Aluminium effect facia kit (still in box-not sure I want it fitting) which comes with the panels along either side of the heater controls and the stereo, (the wood effect kit being 002462)

There is a centre console comfort kit 005130-what ever that is?? but doesn't seem to come in choice of finishes.

There is a set of both kits on ebay at the moment.

p.s Please don't buy the wood kit-WOOD IS FOR COFFINS, NOT CARS!
p.p.s AND while I'm at it, Don't put chrome stuff on your mirrors/fog lights/number plates Etc. it only makes you look like a Traveling Tarmac Technician! Laughing

Rowy,
I get your point and I have already taken off the chrome surrounds from the number plates. Thanks for the info.
CG I am feeling very insecure. My life requires consistency and you have just been nice to me and shown me the new accessories catalogue with the parts I look for clearly displayed. CG I need your regular insult so that I feel wanted! Ralph

should be "existing aluminium effect plastic finish"... Smile - those radio side panels "comfort kit" only stick over the top as well though... FL2 TD4 XS manual, XS style pack, Martinique Blue

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Hi all,

I got a phone call from my local friendly Parts man at my local Land Rover Dealer yesterday to say he had loads of exceptional offers on various accessories, one being LR002463 'Aluminium Effect Facia Kit' which he remembered me enquiring about but snubbed due to the high cost. Anyway these kits retail for £327.69 +VAT and I got mine for £52.17 +VAT i.e. £60, still a lot for some plastic parts but overall I'm happy with them. See my Gallery for photos.

He also had 18" Alloys with Tyres for about £150 a corner...

Regards,

Ade. Privacy Glass & Rear Camera

Did have:
2011 SD4 XS - Largo Grey
2009 TD4 Man GS - Santorini Black
1996 Defender 90 300TDi
