It is. Maybe there is the odd caravan out there with a bit "too much" solar!

I know this will only open the floodgates but how many electrical items do you need in a caravan? |

A lot of caravans down under are huge. 200+ litre fridge, often an Engel or Waeco 60 litre fridge as well. Induction cooker, microwave, air fryer, espresso machine, coffee grinder, 2.5kW split system air conditioning, washing machine, charge the scooter, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, curlers, plus all the minor things like, TV, satellite dish, computer, charge phones & camera, CPAP machine, electric toothbrushes, power for diesel heater, positive pressure fan to keep dust out. With 500 - 600AH of lithium batteries. One thing we don't generally use here is caravan movers. They will stick in a smaller inverter for the fridge & a second large inverter to run all the rest of the crap. No wonder these 3 tonne plus caravans are overloaded. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device! Acoustic insulation ARB TPMS 3xARB air compressors After cooler Air tank On-board OCD pressure air/water cleaning Additional 50L fuel Carpet in doors ABE 2x1kg Waeco 28L modified fridge Battery 4x26ah Solar 120w Victron MPPT 100/20 DC-DC 18amps 175amp jumper plug Awning 6x255/60R18 |

Don't forget the electric BBQ. Charcoal is too messy, and gas means that you need an extra gas bottle. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

They still need gas for hot water. Most carry 2 x 9kg bottles.
