It seems that the economy is hitting the Russian car industry as well - apparently due to lack of parts, the new Lada is coming off the production line without any airbags or ABS system Surprised that a Lada had either fitted in the first place.

The reason for no airbag is there is a shortage of vodka. So no plastic bag to blow up.

& the reason ABS now fails is there is no vodka bottle to throw out the window, which otherwise would provide enough mass to slow the car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
