Towbar electrics question

Hello All,

I bought a used towbar with these electrics and was wondering if anyone could tell me where the white(small) connector plug is plugged into the car, please.

Also, the towbar was removed from post face so there was no tow/trailer module.

My understanding is that, I can plug it into mine ( pre facelift ) and just updated the CCF and it will work. ( without tow module)

Or do I still need a tow module and programming?

Many Thanks.

 Regards,
Germplus.

I didn't think the wiring between the pre and post facelift were cross compatible. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver.
1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project.

If it does plug in, it will be located behind the hatch PS (DS for North America) booth quarter panel. Tons of pics are likely on this very site.

We've had 3 FL2s. Each one had a different wiring loom and required different amounts of hardware and software configuring . The one for the 2014 car was completely plug-n-play however. Jules

The genuine LR cable harness for a 2008 FL2 is no longer available from JLR although some dealers might still have one. But they’re very expensive. I bought mine from P F Jones - https://www.pfjones.co.uk/land-rover-freel...510pf.html - and it was a straightforward installation. It has a trailer module and, as I recall, I had to add it using SSD in order to switch off the parking sensors. But the trailer warning light worked without doing this.
