Im sure you will need a new license and a new lead. I've got a nanocom (ex D2BC) but at the time there wasn't anything available for the fl2 so I bought a hawkeye.Ricky who's also ex D2BC is on here and he's using a nanocom. |

I looked into the cost of adding the FL2 license to my Nanocom and buying the new lead, and decided it was better to sell the one I had and buy the FL2 package later (if I need it). Got £250 for my Nanocom with the D2 Td5 licence on it. |

Nanocom works fine fine with FL2. The only issue is that at the moment it is only good for reading fault codes, live data, editing ccf. It does not currently support flashing of ecu's but that is supposed to be available in the near future, which I'm not holding my breath about! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

As a Nanocom and IID BT owner (but no longer FL2 owner), I would advocate selling the NC and buying an IID... Freelander 2 2007 TD4 Manual HSE Tambora Flame

For anyone that's interested, the latest Nanocom firmware (V 1.31) now has this ability for up to 2012 models.

Don't forget the cost of the new cable on top of that as well (plus shipping).

I'm resurrecting this ancient topic in a hope to get more feedback on using Nanocom on FL2.

From memory, the Nanocom can do most things, inc CCF edit, module flashing (including ipac). I don’t think it can currently program new keys & the service reset never seemed to work either. Genesis should have all the available firmwares as well. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
