Had my wheel arch liners off last week to clean out what looked like 10yrs of build up. The fuel pipe was fully visible with the liner off although I wasn’t specifically looking at it but I do know that the connection to the tank is just a section of hose and a couple of jubilee clips which were a little tricky to get at. Mine was leaking from around there Corrado VR6 Mystic Blue - Gone

This will give you an idea of the job. The liner fixings can be tricky, the fixing between liner and rear bumper had seized on both sides and had to be cut off and clips replaced as they had rusted through. By the looks of it the fuel pipe looks easy enough to replace with just the liner being the tricky bit.
