Am a bit confused by all the variations. For example mine is a 2010(10) with £360 tax, 214g/km emission and supposedly 26.4mpg urban.
Then there is another on a 60 plates same engine with £220 tax 165g/km emission and supposedly 38.2mpg
Also yet another 60 plate with £275tax and 185/km emission.

Now I know the road tax for these is based purely on the emissions. What caused there to be 3, at least, different emissions in such a short time on basically the same engine?

No 2wd in the equation. Basically td4 some auto some manual but there is not that big a difference in mpg.

In which case you have likely have a Td4-e (with stop/start) in the mix.

Don't forget that from 09/2010 (2011 MY) there were tweaks to the engines, so you have a whole variety of factors to consider.
