Hi, has anyone considered trying to source an led equivalent unit to replace the original. |

I simply replaced the incandescent lamp with an LED. There is already a light pipe to spread the light from the point source of the filament so that works for LED’s too.

If the brake light complies with an incandescent bulb, why replace it? Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Can’t see the point point of messing about with these LED bulbs and the problems that crop up on system that isn’t designed for them |

I replaced the std bulb with led and thought nothing more about it — UNTIL — the locking on the tailgate stoped working. It kept unlatching every time I applied the brakes. Put the std bulb back in and it’s back to normal! |

Strange! That didn’t happen when I fitted an LED in my high level brake light. |
