wrong type of rain, LR say the sensors where designed to operate during dry rain only .

Dont think it is because of faulty sensors, but has to do with the design of the sensors which occasionally cant cope with rain and in our case snow

It's not just when it IS raining though. Mine were going off when it had BEEN raining. Even after I dried the sensors. The service guy seemed pretty on side thoug. He said they'd take em out and re seal them, replacing any that had been damaged by water. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue.. |

How queer! Mine did exactly the same yesterday but seemed to be triggered by me stalling it in reverse. I tend, when reversing down our narrow back street to park, to trickle along on tickover, not normally an issue but on this occasion I did stall. I just dipped the clutch fully and hit the starter button. The tone just stopped on then all the time until I switched off the sensors. Did the usual 'turn ignition off, turn on; still the same. I'll see how it is when it's slept for a while. Also available in Clean. |

Nerver had a problem with my rear sensors until yesterday when it was really wet all day. Engage reverse and the tone stayed on continuously. I tried reversing near to my neighbours car to see if they would do anything but they just continued buzzing?

I'm hoping they'll do a software update on the car while they're at it and give me instant MPG reading 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue.. |

Well it was in today. Got a fecking S Commercial as a courtesy car and it was bogging inside and out. All they had apparently... still. Anyhoo.. they said they checked it on the diagnostics machine and there was no fault and that because they seemed to be working fine (typical that today's been fecking sunny), there's nothing they could do. They didn't even take them out of take off the bumper to have a look.

same happened to me 3 or 4 times, only way they would do anything is by taking the car to them whilst it was faulty.

I had a parking sensor/radio problem yesterday in the rain. Whilst driving along listening to a CD, the Cd just stopped, with the display showing track number, time etc remaining constant. When I got home the parking sensors didn't work, no beep as I engaged reverse of beeping as I got close to another car. I restarted the engine and this cleared the faults.

Did anyone ever get a fix for this? My FL2 was playing up in the rain yesterday, continuous tone on reversing and no where close to a wall!! Freelander 2 SE 2007 in Stornaway Grey.
