That's what I was hoping, slightly worried it would be an alternator fault. if I turn on the lights and full fans the engine slows a bit as the alternator kicks in I think. |

An inexpensive voltmeter that plugs into the accessory socket in the centre console should tell you if your alternator is ok. From memory, the voltage on mine reads around 14.3 volts when driving. |

more than likely the alternator,check with a volt meter to see if its charging with light on,if it is, do a search on here, there is info on the blue wire to alternator that causes the problem.if its not then you need a new alternator. |

Also its worth checking and cleaning the engine-to chassis and chassis-to-battery earth connections.
