Retro fit audio steering wheel controls

Hello all, I'm a new FL 2 owner and I'm interested in Retrofit audio steering wheel controls, I've read [/blinged freelander] post which was very informative, but after a bit of a web deep-dive I've become a wee bit confused and was hoping for some more advice.

Mine is the FL 2 is the 2 S TD4E (160) 2010 manual

1) By updating the steering wheel and then configuring will this activate the cruise control?
2) Do I need to replace the full steering wheel or just add the buttons (14k147A /B)?

Ta

As quoted I read the first post, but after some other digging I wasn't sure hence the question, or am I missing something?
