The EML is an MOT fail - so you're going to have to do something about it. Whether you'll do further damage in the meantime really depends upon what is wrong. I doubt there is only one cause of this error code. Jules |

I thought it was jokey response Sid he’s obviously referring to a new member who didn’t say hi first I’ve said before it doesn’t worry me it’s the modern world . |

In case you haven't found the search button, this is the result of 'engine management light'. Try these links to posts. You haven't given what your recorded code was - try searching on that as well. https://www.freel2.com/forum/search.php?se...rch_time=0 FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

I too thought it was a jokey reply anticipating Sid's usual response to newbies who jump straight without formally announcing themselves. Made me smile - so that's a good thing Jules |

Also more info about the vehicle would be helpful. Age, mileage, engine type , previous issues, actual DTC code (full DTC code if possible ie 5 + 2 sub-codes , not all readers give the full code) Jules |

We lived in Nijmegen for 18 months and I quickly grew to love the Netherlands and Belgium beers. My favourite is Kwak. Jules |
