Those are side tubes and wholly cosmetic - they are not weight bearing in any way, shape or form and will buckle with minimal pressure while the mounting brackets bend.

Rock Sliders are an altogether more substantial bit of kit. The only ones I've seen for the FL2 are from Warren at Muddy Mods.

Unfortunately the link doesn’t work for me so I was going by the description in the thread, if they are just cosmetic then it’s a style thing I guess, but you cannot deny that proper sliders are useful off road Wink Regards

Indeed! Going to be investing in some myself. I currently have a scale replica of the Ark Royal either side of mine - aka Side Steps. They were on it when I picked it up a couple of months back and are for the bin when I next get the car on the ramps to start replacing various worn suspension parts. Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

We had steps on our when we bought it and I was going to take them off but was thwarted by the rivnuts turning in the body, so repaired the steps and left them on, and it actual fact they were extremely useful around here as most of our lanes are of “Cornish Hedge” type, ie solid granite covered in thin undergrowth and the steps were great at scrapping along the granite rather than the bodywork when squeezing past tourists! Regards
