We had steps on our when we bought it and I was going to take them off but was thwarted by the rivnuts turning in the body, so repaired the steps and left them on, and it actual fact they were extremely useful around here as most of our lanes are of “Cornish Hedge” type, ie solid granite covered in thin undergrowth and the steps were great at scrapping along the granite rather than the bodywork when squeezing past tourists!
