As long as it reaches ford spec 913 any good make of oil should do. |

As long as its the correct spec for your engine, and you change the oil and filter appropriately then any brand is fine IMO.

Don't forget that the original engine (PSA) was designed with an A3/B4 with high HTHS in mind.

I have been using Millers XF Premium Engine Oil C1 5w30 from the off with my car, like their products and decent value as well. It meets the LR spec shop around and get 5 lts for £30 best buy two cans of it as you need 6 lts each oil change so you will have plenty left for the next few oil changes needing only to buy one can next time 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4
