Freelander 2 clonking sound under the drivers footwell

Folks,

Just today I have nituced when driving my Freelander it has developed a slight clunking noise under the front drivers footwell. Mainly when I turn the wheels? Any thoughts? Car has 8,500ks on it.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

I had a ball joint come loose on the lower end of the drop link on the front anti roll bar. That gave rise to 'clunking' noise in the footwell/wheel area. Notice the noise in turns or other situations where the load goes onto the anti roll bar, for instance driving over a speed bump on just one side. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
