I believe it’s a fully synthetic oil that’s spec’d in the handbook and if we’ve ever topped it up, that’s what’s gone in it.

Servicing on this one has always been carried out by the dealer or local specialist though. Invoices all state the correct fully synthetic oil.

I put my jacket on and took my brave pills and ventured into the cold this afternoon.

The PCV valve is now done too. It was nice and clean underneath it and the little bit that fills with oil when it lets go was bone dry Smile

Anyway, she’s fighting again just now. Listening to the straight 6 never gets old Smile

Canada 2008 LR2 i6 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Well this thread pro-actively reminded me to replace my PCV module and the VVL (Variable Valve Lift) Solenoids (both); no issues with either, but this LR is 14+ (3+ years for me with 225+K kms, 75K of which I put on), and was purchased without a full service history. I do plan on keeping it for as long as I can! Thumbs Up
My local LR dealership is extreme competitive on quite a few parts luckily.
