I have a 2010 FL2 with 80,000km. The rear diff and haldex were replaced under warranty at 10,000km.

Yep. Definitely sounds like the Haldex Clutch packs are worn and close to failing. The normal oil and filter change interval on Haldex units is in the tens of thousands of km. Each time we do an oil and filter on our Haldex it runs smooth for about 5000km before needing another oil and filter change.

But have they cleaned the internal haldex pump filter. I doubt it. Quick test Unplug the haldex unit (from under the car) or remove the fuse to it. You will get a temporary warning on the dash. This should disengage the haldex. If the clonking disappears then its the haldex unit that's playing up. If it doesnt then it could still be the haldex but also something else. Jules |
