Hi anybody know if there are any front deflectors avaible to deflect the rainwater hitting the windscreen when going through deep laying water on the roads, do any other FL2 owners suffer from this as the wipers definitly struggle when it happens.

Never encountered the situation where that much standing water has hit the screen; perhaps drive slower?

Silicone or Ceramic Spray on the glass? And yeah, those are quite the puddles

I've had it happen and you don't need to be going that fast, a deep puddle will do it. Don't know a cure though so if you find one please let us know. Common sense isn't very common.

Look nice, but save your money, I still get water all over the screen depending how deep the water is.
Also used to happen on an Ml I had that had no spats.

If you drive like half of these people, I’d not be surprised

All Land Rovers soak the windscreen when going through deep water at speed.

It's likely due to the high approach angles on the front, as most normal cars and road biased SUVs don't soak the screen.

You can get spats for the front which reduces the water thrown forward, but the best thing is to simply drive slower, and maybe put the wipers on manually before you get to the water, if you know it's going to end up on the screen.

In recent very wet weather I had the occasional sudden splash on the windscreen when going through lying water and to my surprise I found that with the wipers set to auto they reacted almost instantly, certainly faster, I suspect, than I could have switched them on (it wasn’t actually raining at the time - just a lot of lying water).

I put some of the water deflectors on my FL2. They didn’t make a lot of difference, just added to things that can be torn off if you ever take the car off road. The deflectors came off when I fitted a Mantec sump guard and I didn’t really miss them.

there are two different sizes of 'spats' one deeper than the other.

If I can find the photo for comparison, I will post it
