I think you will find that the wiring isn't there - mine does not have the puddle lights (on the door edges or on the mirrors) and it has no wiring for them in the doors.

However your car might be different!

I think some trims have it and some don't, but if they don't then the wiring isn't there either. Unlike many other trim options where the wiring is fitted even if the option itself isn't fitted.

My 2009 MY SE also has puddle lights in the bottom of the doors, and in the mirrors too, also the foot wells are illuminated. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

It's likely the body harness has the wiring, but it may well be the door harness doesn't.
It'd be pretty easy to check the wiring goes to the door connector. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
