swap the bulbs over and see if that makes a difference,

I am afraid that the Freelander will tell you all sorts of useful things such as when your windscreen washer level is low!! But unfortunately nothing about whether any bulbs have blown. I had a situation a while ago where I drove for over 100 miles on the M4........ daytime but heavy rain and low visibility in the belief that my headlights were on. In fact both bulbs had blown which meant that there were no lights showing on the front as the DRL's are bypassed when headlights are on!! |

Probably nothing to do with anything but did your car ever have tow bar electrics fitted? When I took mine (OEM) off my earlier pre plug and play FL2 it demonstrated some oddness until the dealership plugged the car in and told it that it no longer had the towing electrics. |
