Does anyone know if the wires and plugs are fitted in the door cards on a 2011 sd4 fl2 that does not have puddle lights but has blanking plates fitted. Thought I would ask before I pull the door apart and then find out there is no loom for the puddle lights.
I am hoping that LR fitted the loom but did not fit the lights except as an option, like on my old D3 for the heated rear seats, the loom was tucked under the carpet! but thats another story  Discovery 3 tdv6 gone

I don’t know the answer but mine has them and I don’t know what the point of them is.

To light up the ground in the dark so you dont step in a puddle or worse!! Discovery 3 tdv6 gone

Yes but I’ve never found them remotely useful.

It's just that I have a full set of LED puddle lights from my old D3 and as there is a blank in the spot where the puddle lights would fit I thought maybe someone would know if the loom was there before I take the door card off, oh well will just have to give it a go and see what I find if anything will keep you posted if like the D3 the extra wiring is tucked up in the door card somewhere. I thought LR used the full option looms in all models but only used it when the option was an extra like the rear heated seats in the D3, I found the plugs for the seats so got second hand heated seats when I put the fridge box in as the console had the switch's built in and I was told that LR used the full loom but only used what was needed for the spec of car. Discovery 3 tdv6 gone

Or do what I have done and replace the whole thing with an aftermarket system with car play and link your phone to it Xtrons units from about £350 it brings the car up to date with a whole host of things you can add. Best thing I did on the fl2 :rolllaugh
Loads of people on here have done the same just search Xtrons as they are the only ones to do a direct replacement that fits in place of the original sat nav screen and not that hard to fit either, If I can do it anyone can

What is all that equipment bolted on the dash , looks like a taxi?

I replaced the lamps in my puddle lights for led type & the wiring & plug for the lights are in the mirror itself. 2014 Freelander 2 HSE Orkney Grey. Now sold.

thats a CB radio for when off roading UK legal one at that!!

I changed the puddle lights on bottom of doors for the ones which show LandRover on the ground.
Also changed the side flashers for sequential ones.
Just a wee bit of bling.
My daughter says I am an old poser.
As lights were originally there it was just plug and play.
Beginning to like the sound of an xtrons unit.
I think the swtnav is garbage also
