Just collected a commercial freelander
I have a problem with the front power socket not working,but I cant locate the correct fuse number can anyone help me out,

It will till you which one in the manual. I can't remember which number but it's located in the fuse box where the spare wheel is.

I suspect the wire got pulled from the socket during the heater recall. Im wrong if your car is 6 mths or less old Also try the fuse which is probably in the front passenger footwell. other fuse boxes are under the boot floor and under the bonnet At work

The front socket was working,I have been fitting the Sony satnav in the hole.I suspect that the fuse could have blown,the manual gives reference to the rear aux fuse in the back fusebox and the cigarette lighter which is located in the front.These fuses appear to be ok..? could the can bus have switched the power off to it..???

have you looked at the fuse in the power cord for the satnav?

some cig lighter cords have small fuses in them also Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Do you realise that the 2 power sockets have different feeds-
i.e. one has a permenant live feed and one is live with the ignition on only?

Mine's having a new front socket fitted after the bottom of a charger came off and got stuck and some idiot tried to get it out with pliers and mangled it all!!!!

Also, can somebody tell me if both power sockets should light up, only the front one on mine does?

All sorted now thanks,I disconnected both the live and earth and connected non insulating terminals to these,and wired the front accessory plug and one for the satnav to new cables.It turned out to be a dodgy connection on the new main feed that I had installed...!!
So much for trying to do a proper job,should have gone with the scotch lock.....
