Were the new pads a good fit in the caliper guides? could be a pad floating perhaps? 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

I assume that you checked all the bolts that you removed when doing the brakes are tight, and wheel nuts? If so, then check Ball Jionts for movement, followed by rotational play in inner and outer CV joints. AS its an Auto, its the wearin the Valve Block, you will need to get the software updated in the short term to make sure it can adapt to your driving style. |

Hi, if there was no noise with the previous pads, then try changing them for anothar make and see what happens. I have had clunks on braking when the strut top bearing has failed. Sometimes the whole top of the strut will move back and forwards, both when stopping, and it returns as the brake pressure releases as one moves forward again. |

I use Auto Doc for a few bits and pieces and always found them reasonably priced, just going to point out that with their parts they more often than not offer several different makes of varying quality and price. It's the buyers decision to choose. |
