Haldex - Error message.

Hi,

I have a small noise from my haldex. I know it needs services so was looking to disable it until it services to save the motor. I need to get the car MOTd next week and can't have a error message on dash. If rather than the fuse I unplug the haldex motor will I still get the error message?

I.e. leave in the fuse and haldex ecu but unplug the motor only as a temporary work around.

Thanks

I read somewhere , ages ago, that unscrupulous sellers have done the same to hide a haldex fault Jules

Think it was common practice to disguise driveline faults on freelander 1s , a few buyers were surprised to find they had bought a 2wd. If you're not hands on or mechanically minded the first time you'd notice that was on a snowy or icy Road. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
