The vehicle I have at work I have found that according to the onboard computer if I fill up with the standard Shell Diesel I get around another two miles to the gallon from it compared to any other branded diesel, but the V Power not a blind bit of difference except your pocket is lighter. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Tried it some time ago and also found that V-Power makes no relative difference at all to fuel consumption.
Can’t understand how so many gullible motorists out there that fall for all that advertising crap - What a con, and as mentioned its only your pocket that gets lighter in the interests of some fuel company making extra cash Whistle

I use the cheapest diesel I can get and consumption is the same regardless. Shall be doing a longer trip and some off-road/mountain driving this weekend, so will check the consumption and post results later. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

First 580 mils was standard, with Supermarket Diesel (Sainsbury's) = 33 mpg

next 1400 miles was after car was remapped but still with Supermaket Diesel (Sainsbury / Tesco) = 39.3

most recent 250 miles using Shell Advanced Diesel = 39.2 mpg

Back to the supermarkets wth me!

NB. I drive in a 'spirited' fashion on A roads and hit the speed limiter at 80 on dual/M roads. More Ms Butler-Henderson than Miss Daisy. New: Freelander2 GS 62 plate (MY13) - Santorini Black with Clearview & Front PDC
Old: Freelander2 XS 09 Plate - Zermatt Silver with ST3 remap (eco map), Garmin 1490T Sat Nav, Rear Seat Entertainment kit
