Guys I would not worry to much over the wheel arch guards get under the car & have a look at the rear subframe for corrosion these cars now are starting to suffer very badly 😩😩😩 |

5 metres in total, thanks Re subframe corrosion, well I took my daughters XF R Sport in for MOT last week, passed fine but rear subframe showing corrosion only 4 years old!! Spring will mean a clean up and heavy waxoiling so sort that out. So yes its worth checking your car for the orange stuff! 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

I replaced mine with genuine parts as the later ones have an extra piece of rubber thats stops water getting into the front wing, but before fitting I coated the arches and wing lips with waxoy AND filled the trims in with waxoyl also as the waxoyl sets it "glues" the trim in place stopping it from distorting and/or rusting plus you have the added protection if water was to get in the waxoyl will protect the wheel arches. 2013 FL2 XS.

hi do you have to part number for the one with the extra piece of rubber. when I first got my Freelander the arch protectors were distorted so I ordered new ones. the one from the front passenger side I think was the one that had the extra rubber/foam on top. I have not been able to find this at all. thanks. GS Sd4 2012 |
