Immobiliser ?

HELP.
I recently changed the clutch on our Freelander 2 Td4 2008.
I did it over a period of two weeks due to work and other commitments. All went fine until I went to start it. Although it appeared to be out of gear IT WASN'T and lunged forward as a car does in gear.
I obviously needed to bleed the clutch which was fine & we got all the gears almost straightaway.
As soon as I went to start it this time there is NOTHING when I hit the started button. I have ALL electrics, lights windows, dash, everything, but there is nothing when the starter is pressed. Today I wasted money on a Mobile Diagnostitian to come out and tell me, the BODY CONTROL MODULE showing a fault on the Hight level brake light. And a fault on the POWER CONTROL MODULE but he couldn't tell me what it was. And it wouldn't reset.
He told me to unplug the ECU, POWER, & BODY control module for a half hour connect it all and it should have reset.
IT HASN'T all is the same.
Batteries in both the Key fob (1) & on the vehicle are less than 6 months old and test on the multimeter as full.
I am living in Southern Ireland and Diagnosticians/Auto-Electricians are few and far between. .
Please help...

I would check the earths. FL2 is prone to a variety of electrical issues due to poor earth- many threads on here. Some install an additional earth cable, I did.

Coincidently, my series 3 turned over about 4 times yesterday when I tried to start it and then nothing - no lights, no dashboard lights, dead ignition switch. Fuses all Ok. Battery charged. Turned out to be the engine-chassis earth had high resistance due to corrosion. My multimeter fooled me initially as it said there was continuity through the earth strap - just not enough !
Cleaned up the contact surfaces and all was good. Jules

Second vote for checking the earths and the extra earth strap.

Should have said I removed the earthing leads, checked ,cleaned and reattached.
I'm so blooming stuck on what to try next. I'm going at it again on Weds, and I will see what else the FL2 clan can come up with in the meantime.
Thank you for your input, I hope the series 3 comes back to life quickly.
Mark.

OK so no other ideas. ?
I eventually put a live feed from a secondary starter switch, therefore bypassing the Immobiliser.
I press start and then the secondary switch starts her up.
Shut off in the usual way. All good .
Temporarily.
