Hi Mark, I understand that in order to hear an alarm beep you had the key fod inserted. When this is done some electronics are turned on (you can even here some light noise from the engine on mine). Could that be the case for your flat battery? What did the dealer say? |

Car battery had gone completely flat, the only sound was coming from some form of alarm in the car. Emitting noise about every minute.

This problem is a regular post on www.RRSport.co.uk and www.disco3.co.uk too. There are problems with batteries self flattening, I suggest that you lurk over on either of those sites and use the search function and that should find you the reason. Fortunately my own car hasn't suffered from this problem, even though it sits undriven on my drive for 3 months at a stretch. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

I have had numerous non starting problems, most of these got started by removing the key and trying again.
