Hey folks,

I think I am close to getting the various noises fixed on the freelander and if all goes well, the next job is new tyres. The current tyres are getting a bit low in the tread dept. so looking at options for an AT tyre with a bit more height to them. Currently its running 29" tyres on 19" rims (235/55R19). I have no idea if these are standard on an XS but its what it came with.

I have 245/75R16 on my D2 and my old series vehicles usually ended up with 255/85R16 so bigger tyres seem to be a bit of a habit with me.

Forgetting wheel rim size, what's the tallest tyre people have gone without problems?

I am working on staying close to 235 so rubbing on suspension hopefully wont be a big issue. A look online shows some 235/65R19(31") tyres are available from a few manufacturers so a couple inches bigger.

Searching the forum doesn't seem to show much with people doing this with 19" wheels which may be telling me something

So, 30"? 31"? any experience?

I'm running 265/60/18's. There's no issue with rubbing the suspension - but the fronts do catch the rear of the inner arch on full lock on uneven ground.

Thanks. So 30.5” with no real issues.

My 235’s on 19” are very close to the rear struts already so going to have to stick to 235, fit spacers or go for new wheels!
