dpf and add blu

what year did the fl2 get a dpf as standard and did it get add-blu at the same time

has there been many issues with the 2.2 engine and dpf's like there are with the newer 2ltr in the discovery sport, got a discovery sport at the moment and seriously considering selling and going back to a fl2

Definitely never Addblue with FL2.
I think DPF came with upgraded engines (160TD and 190SD) post late 2010. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

DPF came in around 2010 on FL2, none have ad blue as they are all EuroIV from that year on.

the problem with early Disco Sport and others fitted with the 2.0TD4 Ingenium engine is oil dilution. They have largely 'cured' this with software changes

no real issues with the 2.2 TD4/SD4 FL2 other than normal short journey DPF regens

we do quite a few short runs of approx 6-10 miles our ds has just given a red dpf warning but land rover assist sorted it and recommended doing a 30-40 min run every 2 weeks but I would rather not have the hassle but if the 2.2 with dpf has the same issues i might look at pre dpf versions

I don`t think anyone has reported many DPF issues with the FL2. My Monday to Friday commute to work was 5 miles each way each day and never had any issues with mine in the 18 months that I had it. Thumbs Up

hover over the FL2 icon from the poster and it will (if they have filled in their profile) tell you what vehicle they drive.

Dondiddy drives a 2012 TD4 so it's dpf fitted Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

My FL2 is late 2013 had it five years used every day to commute to work plus other short jouneys in between NEVER had any DPF issues and it has NEVER let me down or given any problems ,I was at one point thinking of selling it and gettind a Evoque or Disco sport but after reading the horror stories with the 2.0 Ingemium engine I have decided to keep my FL2 at least till I retire. would not touch a 2.0 ingenium engined vehicle with a barge pole. The 2.2 engine is the one to go for. 2013 FL2 XS.

Had a 2008 FL2 for over 185,000 miles, only once failed to get me home and the AA sorted it in 15 minutes - throttle valve. TBH I wish I had kept her, but can't wind the clock back.

With regards to the DS, the 2.2 (FL2) engined version is probably as reliable as the late model FL2. The ignium engined 2 litre in D180 and D150 guise do have oil dilution problems if you stick to the 20,000 mile service, do it every 12,000 miles as you would in the FL2 and you should fare better. The D240 doesn't suffer oil dilution - mine actually uses 0.5L every 10,000 miles.
The DS forum is full of horror stories of failed steering racks, oil dilution, balance shaft bearings, chassis squeaks, but there are thousands of the Censored many owners have never had an issue and so never post. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

I've never (touch wood) had a problem with the DPF but it's looking like the lack of Adblue/EU6 will result in me selling sooner than I had hoped.
The whole of Greater Manchester becomes a clean air zone next year, initially for commercial vehicles in the main but I can't see it being long before they include private vehicles as well.
