Cheers for that - Bit expensive mind. Cheaper to buy super E5 petrol as it still available at the pump. Jules |

You mean like leaded fuel was supposed to be available for those who's car wasn't suitable?

That’s interesting as on another site I frequent there is an Oz chap who reckons E10 (which they have had for over a decade) is crap and makes the cars run rough and takes the performance down so much that the majority of Aus drivers avoid buying E10……..is that right? Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

Apparently some people have been buying the new E10 in Jerry cans, adding water to it, because ethanol sticks to water. Then then leave it for around 24 hours while the water and ethanol sperate from the rest of the fuel, and then they extract it. You cant really get all of the Ethanol out though. |

you'd need a lot of jerry cans to do that for your car.

I keep some petrol in a can in the garage - just a couple of litres for cleaning things. Today, went to use what was left (a couple of hundred ml) and it had turned into syrup. Never seen that happen before - it must have been E10 fuel. Jules |

That’s a bit worrying as our ride on mower sits idle for about 7 months of the year! Regards

Bought some of this for my son's classic Porsche as I couldn't get super E5 during the petrol shortage

For those who are very worried Esso Synergy+99 is ethanol free, but comes at a premium and is not available countrywide.
