Rain! Too much rain!
Had water coming into drivers side front footwell back in January - soaked carpet - eventually sorted after garage found steering column/floor seal bad, so any puddle driving caused ingress. initially difficult to diagnose, x3 visits until solved and fixed (cost to fix £ 238.00 !).

August, much rain, passenger footwell carpet showed another leak (not as extensive).
Another 3 visits to dealers (main LR agent), tested, eventually seen to be door seal (?) - the body one, not the seal on the door - another £179 and all seemed well (apart from the costs!).

Last night, storm, much rain; this morning lifted rubber mat to find.... leaking again, dribble trail seemed to be from same area (adjacent door bottom front corner). I have to park facing downhill and with the offside slightly lower than the nearside so whatever is leaking means water runs from the door corner side and accumulates in the corner of the footwell nearest to central console .
Am loath to keep bleeding money, but obviously want to solve problem. Any ideas? Very attached to my FL2 (07 SE and immaculate - apart from the leak...) it really is, and has been, exactly what I need in a vehicle. (and this is the year that I finally decided to abandon the LR Select Extended Warranty - but I note they don't cover leaks of this variety anyway!!)
Maybe it's time to move on - reluctantly.

Same problem here, blocked drain under the scuttle to inner wing full of leaves. The water runs over the back of the battery and finds a way in behind the main junction box behind the glove box. I had the back of the car up for some time, and when the rain came, I had water in the battery tray.

Have seen all of the old, existing links and none have proved to be the source - so far. Bizarrely, vast amount of rain last night hasn't increased to amount of water inside. Might revisit the door card when the weather gets better, it's possible there's something going on behind there. As for 'drilling a hole in the floor' (Jack Frost), in 58 years of motoring (and 9 different Land Rovers), I've never had to resort to that....still, who knows..

Hi, this is a long shot for your leak, but, I had a car some years ago which filled the spare wheel well in heavy rain. When parked with the front facing downhill, the front footwell was soggy. Two reasons, the rear lights leaked into the boot, and spilled over and ran under the carpet to the front. Also I eventually found the heater matrix under the dash was also leaking. I only found the source as I smelt it on a hot day after opening the door to climb in. I note that in one of the Forum electrical problems the rear fusebox has melted the circuit board due to water ingress at the rear. If you have a sunroof, also look at the drains splitting inside the A and B posts.

If you have a Sun roof check that the drain tube is still attached.

As posted above, the sunroof drainage is always a good place to start.
