The PowerUK team have posted a video on how to reset the misfueling yellow plastic flap.

There should be one in the boot on the left hand side next to the spare wheel - there is a clip to hold it in place, unless the previous owner lost it. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone

These sell for £14 on Ebay I made my own just get a piece of coathanger wire bend it into a U shape 10 mm apart bend the two ends over to make two prongs works well. 2013 FL2 XS.

I have just learnt about this i have had my car 6 months, i always had trouble trying to fill up i assumed this was just the way they are, then last week the fuel station i used had its own attendant, and he told me about it, i came home found the tool in the boot and found how to use it in the owners manual, it only took a few seconds to do, and was so easy too

Your model wouldn’t have one fitted. Hence your misfuel accident. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
