Cost her that whilst standing still, I suppose. Top Gear said that a Toyota Prius did six miles per gallon on petrol, so four gallons at £7 a gallon. Think i will buy an electric bike, Landrover advertised one once. |

Your problem seems to be a shortage of drivers. Add more trailers!

You really need to get facts correct……the power station was because of the fire in the Kent relay station stopped us importing energy (for use by everyone!) from France , and as to the Prius only doing 6 mpg on petrol….. what a load of ! Otherwise your completely correct Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

I have to say that i don't buy all this "panic buying" narrative. It's just a convenient handle for the government to pass the blame on to others and for the media to whip up a frenzy of a self fulfilling prophecy

Yes and no. Travelled back from Yorkshire on Saturday 280 miles, all ok up there but nearer home, especially services on M11 were queueing, lot there with roof boxes, trailers etc suggesting they were going somewhere and would be needing fuel.

In Australia on average about 5 litres per day per vehicle. People tend to fill the tank once they get down to the last 20%.

Media still causing uproar about it, I listen to Radio 2 constantly, normally enjoy the Jeremy Vine lunchtime show, today I felt they are just sensationalising it further, causing more issues than being helpful. Filled my Freelander yesterday (when it needed filling, not Friday when I considered doing so but didn't, because I understand the concept of panic buying). Fuel doesn't seem to be an issue in Northern Ireland...yet. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

There is quite a balanced look at the whole problem of running 'Super Efficient' 'Just in Time' supply chains here on the attached BBC link.

Ian, you like I, tried to mend the system in the 80's and was unable to.
