I would check lower ball joints, track rod ends, and check for wear in the steering rack inner joints, shock absorbers, springs.

Wear in any of the suspension bushes can make a car seem wallowy. Need to check all of them. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Our roads totally suck, like a third world country. After 150K I've had to replace only the front lower control arms and the shocks. |

I suggest to also check the Strut top bearings, as when they wear the car feels Floaty and imprecise to steer. Broken Springs seem common these days as well. I had to replace complete struts on ours at 155k miles. |

I noticed a vast improvement after renewing the drop links.

Take it to a reliable mechanic and have him or her diagnose the issue(s). It could be various bushings, links, sway bar, suspension, etc.. Most all mechanics generally don't charge for a service like this with the hope that you will get it repaired there. They will likely test drive the vehicle before putting it on a hoist. |

Sloppy drop links and/or worn dampers have caused me problems on prevoius (non-FL2) cars. The symptoms come on gradually and you tend not to notice that much until new ones make it feel like a new car again. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

My 07 wallowed like an old barge. I recently replaced the front dampers, when testing them, they had some resistance compared to the new ones, however the rebound on the old ones were really slow. I swapped both sides, top bearing mounts, drop links, rubber spring seats, anti roll bar bushes and swapped the 16” wheels for 18” with Pirelli scorpion verde tyres, car transformed, rear end needs overhaul but worn components really affect the ride and steering in my experience, |

Many thanks everyone for the suggestions, it gives me a good list of things to get started on in order to try and bring the car back to how it used to be. |
