Radiator replacement.

I had started to use a little coolant lately and feared the worst (as the car is nearly at 150k).
I couldn't find a leak and had no oil in coolant/engine oil/g box cooler etc so kept driving.
Then after a long run the other day to Wales when I parked up I got a low coolant alarm and a bit of steam out of the air intake. I topped up the reservoir and carried on using the car for the weekend in Wales but had to top up regularly.

I had a nervous drive back home for five hours with intermittent low coolant alarms and stop start traffic but the old girl made it home but wet herself on the drive overnight.
When filling up the next day I could see coolant leaking out of the radiator so ordered a new one from euro c p for £103 and she's back to fighting fit.
The old original radiator was rotten all over from leaves stuck between the air con condenser and it was only a matter of time before it let go.

To change the radiator wasn't to bad.

Remove sump guard, bumper, crash bar, charge air cooler, plastic shroud, unbolt aircon condenser pipes, unbolt g/box cooler, detach 4x coolant hoses, support condenser and Remove radiator, swop fan pack and rubbers to new rad and refit in reverse!
Took 5 litres to fill back up and all seems good 👍🏻I'm hoping to keep the car till something expensive goes wrong so 🤞🏻 we have a few years left.........
