FRL II, 2014 PETROL 2.0 Si4 - immediate loss of power - HELP

Hi, Swiss registered car, based in Ormskirk (Lancs) visiting family.

Can any one recommend a LR specialist who can look at the car quickly? Dealerships in Liverpool and Preston cannot see the car until mid/end Aug. I'm meant to be driving back to CH in the next couple of weeks and need the car in the meantime.

Insurer provides breakdown cover and has confirmed will take to a garage of my own choice (or repatriate to CH) for repair and will cover the cost of a hire car.

Immediate loss of power - first thing that came to my head was I could hear what I thought was the turbo whining recently. Turbo gone maybe? Just feels like it wont step up through the gears too. Haven't pushed it.

Any recommendations for LR specialist very welcome! I may have covered 10 miles since this happened (to get back home).

Sorry cannot help you with garages but just a thought, have you checked the turbo hoses, maybe one popped off or even split? Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Would anyone happen to know if there might be a warning light with this kind of issue that I’ve vaguely described?

Resolved. The competent team at K Motors in Leyland, near Preston in Lancashire were able to diagnose the issue.

The turbo has been fully replaced as it had seized. I was shocked as the car has not yet completed 60k miles.

Good as new MY15, 2.0 Si4 HSE Luxury
