United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Firenze Red
Two Jobs Done Big One Next

Well the car performed great on the recent trip to Lincolnshire averaging around 39 to 39 mpg, fast roads when I could and lots of narrow slow lanes, noticed when I got home that I had a very slow puncture on rear N/S tyre, as the tyres are original from new and 7 ears old I could see they were cracking so thought it best to bite the bullet and get them changed, only ordered 4 Wrangler tyres as I had a brand new one on an alloy in the boot, seems daft it sitting there so I put the good rear wheel in the boot. Great company I used before on other cars come out to your door and fit them on the drive, also cheaper than local tyre sales places, cost me £332 all in for three tyres.

Next simple job was due to reports of rear light thefts I ordered off eBay

these are stainless steel security screws with the tool, also a set of number plate plastic covers, all fitted in no time and now I think they are as secure as I can unless I tie a hungry GSD next to it!

Big job next though, its seven years old and I bought the Gates cambelt kit with water pump included which my excellent independent mechanic will fit, its due a service but as I had all filters etc done last year it will be an oil (Millers) and oil filter service and general pre MOT check over, car has only done 18000 miles but I thought knowing my luck it would be not worth the risk by leaving the belt.
three pics of rear light cluster with screws fitted.

**** Apologies the pictures are 90 degrees out cant seem to get them to display right?****

Cam belt on TD4 is 10 years but 7 years on SD4. That being said if it's a keeper then better safe than sorry. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
