Is that the gearbox I can’t tell ? Could the damage have been caused by a trolley Jack ? |

I've never jacked it there, but could be. Only noticed it because liquid was leaking from there, and only after this clutch failure. That is the sump tank next to it. |

Do you mean the "D" shaped hole in the bottom of the bell housing ? If so, then that's normal . You can see it in this pic. To the left of the number 13 BTW I think your concentric clutch slave is leaking if oily liquid is coming out of the bell housing and your clutch has failed. Jules |

Thanks Jules, thought it was normal but it felt like it had some Burrs on it so wasn’t sure. I do believe the problem is my slave cylinder, after taking off the reservoir cleaning that out, bizarrely the outlet to the clutch hoses were partially blocked, then pumped the clutch a few times I now have that new dot 4 coming out of the hole. |
