United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black
Gone and done it

I’ve gone and put down a deposit on a 07 FL2 SE, I asked about the Auto v Manual thing a few weeks back and have driven both. Would have liked to get my hands on an Auto, but they seem to be like hens teeth round here, so I put the money down on a manual as I need a new car by the end of the month.

The first thing I’ll admit to, is that’s black (After reading a few threads, it seems that there’s a love hate thing going on with this colour) It will also be getting a tow bar fitted (No caravan will ever be hitched to this, just the Bike carrier) and last but not least, at some stage in the next week or two I’ll have fitted some clear indicator lens.

Cheers

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

toeknee, I'm one of the high milers around here, you'll have noticed we like a good bitch from time to time but the FL2 is a great car and you'll love every minute of owning it.

And with that towbar fitted, well OK you may only intend to carry bikes with it, but who knows in the future you may just come to appreciate its value with a ......... (ssshh ... caravan in tow!)

Welcome to the FL2 side of life .... Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Thanks avatur, Its defiantly a step up from my 6 year old Xtrail, I could have gone for a new Xtrail but after driving a couple of demo FL2’s, I knew it had to be, yes its nearly 2 yrs old but the quality & fit seem to be much better and the Xtrail feels a lot tinier every time I drive it.

Can’t rally knock the Xtrail as it’s not let me down until now, just a few things need sorting, just thought it was time to make the change

Is there a link between vanners and Grey FL2's??

has anyone with a grey car ever had a speeding ticket? or do the cops not notice them 'cos they are so mundane?

Belgium 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

Funny thing is that when I was choosing a colour I only sow greys, so I chose a black one. Now I only see black ones. Thank god I have chrome mirrors and side bars. Makes it a completely different looking car. Seems bigger somehow.

Don't like the half chromed ones, Full cromes (see gallery) actually look very very nice. It was a risky chooise but Im glad I have them. Of course you need a black car for it to work. Mr. Green

I was thinking og getting Stornoway mirror caps, but then my standard black plastic ones got scratched off-roading on a main road Rolling Eyes - So thought bling-ones, but they dont match aluminium colour of the other trim, so Censored -it, I will wait until aluminium ones are available Whistle 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Aren't the coloured ones stick-ons? That should camouflage the scratches.
