reluctantly got rid of my Tonga green, HSE i6 in Feb this year. reluctantly had to trade it in against a new van for work as it was worth more than my rusty trusty ford transit. I was gutted, wife was gutted...... secretly i knew it was time as the back end was sounding expensive rather soon.
anyway , driving less than 3000 miles a year i was reluctant to get another i6. I came across a little fiesta 1.2 zetec 55k and immaculate, quite a come down, but the car was given to me for free. Beggars choosers and all that. so it became my wheels.
tesco and back on thursday and MIL on sunday etc etc. its a car........
visited my parents in hornsea, in fester the fiesta, 100 miles away. Car was written off by a pr1ck in a van. insurance all done, 3rd party admitted liability. paid out 3.5k.
went car shopping and found another hse i6. £30 more for insurance than the fester a year, road tax is £370 more.
car does very little miles, so fuel consumption is not really an issue, but i feel its worth the extra for the bells whistles, swings and roundabouts.
really enjoying being back in it.
Have i got the bug?
